STORIES

Intangible benefits of our services transform the way organizations work, the way employees are managed, the way products are designed, the way services are sold and the way customers are treated. The implications are profound, and an organizations’ strategy must incorporate with these intangibles.

Off the ledge conversations

I received an emergency call from Alyssa earlier today. It was one of those ‘talk me off the ledge’ calls. She had been faced with some detrimental situations at work over the last few weeks which were now causing an emotion-based reaction to quitting her job.

After a 20 minute conversation with Alyssa, she experienced a calm demeanour, with a new perspective and some actionable steps to initiate going forward, in order to remedy the situations in a way where she felt more in control.

With this impactful conversation, we saved both the organization and the great employee a lot of heartache and costs.

Financial training

Peter is a top notch tradesman. He knows  his craft inside and out and because of this, he’s been promoted into a managerial role within the organization. He now has responsibility for staff, sales, budgets and overall performance for his division. He’s given very little training and support in his new role and is questioning his decision to take the promotion, just months after he’s started it. The division is now struggling, the staff are unhappy and he’s not meeting the financial expectations. Something has to change.

We started working with Peter on his financial acuteness and have seen tremendous improvement in his capabilities, the divisions’ performance and his confidence as a leader.  Meeting him where he was at with his knowledge level and bringing his skill set up to a desired level of functionality allowed Peter to gain the ability to manage at a new level of excellence.

This training and coaching program has turned a valuable tradesman into a high performing leader.

Career path planning

Bryan has been laid off due to the economic downturn. He’s been looking for work for months, but nothing has transpired. He’s questioning whether his career path  is actually what he should be doing, considering his true passion lies elsewhere.

He signed up for the Career Trajectory Program to work on getting some career clarity. Within the first session, he’d already learning more about himself and what’s truly important in his life. By the end of the program, he’s excited at the renewed energy he’s feeling, at the vision he now has for his future, and the strategic goals he's set out to execute.

Bryan now has the focus and skills to implement a powerful and transformational plan.

Leadership support

Samantha is working for her dream company and has just been promoted into a leadership role. She’s passionate about making a difference and building a great team. However, she’s concerned because her direct manager is not a strong leader, is a micro manager and is giving her very little support to be successful. She’s not held a leadership role before and is looking for a mentor to guide her in the right direction.

I start working with Samantha as part of the organizations’ leadership development program. She now has another leader (me) to support her in her journey, to work through the hurdles of figuring out her leadership style and overcome her challenges with her manager.

The additional benefit I see is that the organization keeps a high performing individual by supporting her, rather than allowing her under-performing manager destroy the entire group.
